Unprotected soils lose valuable topsoil under heavy rain or wind. With a combination of a geotextile or a coconut mat with hydromulching, we apply a thick, fibre-rich mulch layer that immediately protects the soil against run-off and drying out, while vegetation develops.

Hydromulching combines a high-volume mulch layer with binders that attach to the soil. The result is a protective membrane that absorbs rain energy, retains moisture and promotes germination of the embedded seed.
For steep embankments, banks and long-term loads we combine hydromulching with natural coconut mats or biobased geotextiles (jute, hemp, straw). The mat is anchored to the slope first, after which we spray hydromulching with seed over the fabric. The textile holds the soil and mulch layer in place, breaks down fully biodegradably over time and leaves behind a firmly rooted vegetation cover.
